Its a night of glitz and glamour and hollywoods hottest singers, musicians and recording artists arrive to the 56th annual grammy awards.The Grammys show held at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles will feature performances from Taylor Swift, Beyonce and husband Jay Z, Daft Punk, Katy Perry and Madonna.

all pink everything

She turned heads when she arrived for her Jimmy Kimmel Live taping in a clinging crop top and pencil skirt. 

And now Kim Kardashian has admitted the pink two-piece was actually a Dior dress which she took a scissors to and changed into a whole new outfit.

Here's Kim Kardashian in what has become her signature look. A cropped tee and a figure hugging, midi-length pencil skirt.

Except, this isn't a top and skirt... this is a dress from the Christian Dior resort 2014 collection. 

Kim's original dress was a version of the catwalk look (below) and we love the pale pink and the delicate fabric. To top this look of Kim is wearing Manolo shoes and a stunning Lorraine Schwartz piece.

Vogue Cover

This month’s cover features Cate Blanchett. She wears a resort 2014 look, from Gucci. The outfit also features a metallic jacket, relaxed fit, top and trousers, all matching. Cate takes up main focus when considering visual hierarchy, placed in front of an infinity pool, slightly blurred due to the shallow depth of field.

There are a lot of things I like about this cover, especially Jillian Division’s (shoot stylist) choice of the Gucci jacket and trousers, which looks incredible. However, I feel a simple white silk cami may have suited the look of the outfit a little better. The make-up looks stunning, very simple with not to much eye make-up, and the sheer red lipstick really complements the outfit. Had I been involved in the shoot, I would of liked to of seen Cate’s hair in a messy bun, as a comparison. The outfit is very formal and elegant and the hair seems to detract from that feel. If in fact this was the plan, a messy bun could of achieved this, while still complimenting the outfit.
